Brussells born Michy Batshuayi-Atunga is a Belgian football player that currently plays for Chelsea FC in the English Premier League.

Batshuayi was a bit of a nomad during his early youth career, playing at a number of Belgian clubs before finally settling at Standard Liege in 2008. His career progressed in Liege and he made his first team debut in February 2011. He played three further full seasons in Belgium, scoring 39 goals in 97 league appearances for Standard before moving to France & Olympique Marseilles in a £4.5m deal in August 2014.

Sixty two League 1 games, 26 goals and two full seasons later, Michy signed for Chelsea in an @ £32.2m deal, despite reported interest & bids from Premier League sides West Ham United & Crystal Palace as well as Italian Serie A side Juventus. He signed a five year contract on 3rd July 2016, leaving the Belgian UEFA Euro 2016 squad in the process to take his medical. Batshuayi made his Chelsea FC debut in the opening game of the season, on 16th August as an 85th minute substitute against West Ham United. He scored his first Chelsea goal 5 days later, again coming off the bench in a league 1-2 Premier League win at Watford FC. In his first full season, he made 28 appearances in all competitions, 21 of them as a substitute, scoring 9 goals. His defining Chelsea FC moment currently is scoring the winning goal in the 0-1 win at West Brimwich Albion on 12th May 2017, the three points from which secured Chelsea winning the Premier League title for the 5th time (and the top flight for the 6th). "Batsman" as he's affectionately known (by the Chelsea fans at least), has played international football for the Belgian national side at U21 and full international levels. He was part of the squad that reached the quarter finals of the 2016 UEFA European Championships.
