Pending individual appearances being added to the database, this is the information from Peter Wollaston's reserve Team players book:
Little is known about Allott – I had seen his initial as “H”, but then I saw a very brief article about him saying “Dick” Allott. I also saw a brief mention in the 11th. October 1913 programme that he had been signed from Rotherham during the week and was an outside-right. The only other mention is the aforementioned article regarding him “assisting his old club Silverwood Colliery” in a Yorkshire newspaper of August 1915. Subsequent investigations seem to suggest that Allott did not come from Rotherham, but Silverwood Colliery!
39 Reserve Appearances, 9 goals between 1936-38
