Harry Ransom was Chelsea’s trainer. However, he did actually play in one game (in goal) in the South Eastern League in the 1905/6 season. He joined Chelsea when the club was formed, first as assistant trainer to James Miller and, following Miller’s sad death in 1907, he took over as trainer.
